Background

Growing up in Sharlayan, Helene's fascination with unusual magic began in her early childhood. She greatly admired the Sharlayan scholars she found herself surrounded by, and their seemingly boundless knowledge. Her industrious and curious nature quickly grew the attention of mentors and superiors in the Forum and the Students of Baldesion, the latter of which she became a member of.However, as she got closer to the Forum's inner workings, she grew disillusioned with growing popularity of bibliothec politics. Much to the ire of the Forum's members, she made many of her criticisms of the secrecy and elitism of the Forum known in heated debate. She left Sharlayan after some time, fed up with the politics of the Forum.After leaving Sharlayan, her whereabouts became shrouded in mystery. Many of the whispers around Sharlayan believe she went to her birthplace, Tuliyollal.Continuing her training as an Astrologian, she reappeared in Ishgard to work as a researcher at the Athenaeum Astrologicum. She began learning the intricacies of Ishgardian astrology, with her already developed proficiency in Sharlayan divination.Despite her disagreements with the Ishgardian nobles, (often finding them less tolerable than the Forum's members) she's allowed much more freedom in her research.

Social Butterfly

Helene is often seen being followed by a blue butterfly, an incredibly rare sight in Eorzea. She's always happy to share the story of how she found it.

Curious Cat

Helene will often peruse markets and welcomes conversations with merchants and traders or anyone else about unusual books and trinkets they might have. Even if you're not a merchant or a trader, if you have a lead on something she'd be interested in then she'd be excited to learn more.

Academic

Helene is a bookworm, and she will often be seen taking notes and reading. She doesn't mind being approached when she's in the middle of something, and she loves talking about her current studies or a recent adventure she was on.
